Installation

Lumo Optimized is distributed as a .mrpack file (Modrinth format) and a CurseForge-compatible .zip file. Choose the format that works with your launcher.

Get the latest release from GitHub Releases.

Launcher Instructions

Prism Launcher

1. Download the .mrpack file from GitHub Releases
2. Open Prism Launcher
3. Click Add Instance in the top-left
4. Select Import from zip on the left sidebar
5. Click Browse and select the downloaded .mrpack file
6. Click OK to install
7. Wait for all mods to download
8. Double-click the instance to launch!

Tip

Prism Launcher is the recommended launcher for the best experience and easiest updates.

Modrinth App

Drag and Drop (Easiest):

1. Download the .mrpack file from GitHub Releases
2. Open Modrinth App
3. Drag and drop the .mrpack file into the app window

Or manually:

1. Download the .mrpack file from GitHub Releases
2. Open Modrinth App
3. Click Create Profile
4. Select From File
5. Choose the downloaded .mrpack file
6. Click Create

ATLauncher

1. Download the .mrpack file from GitHub Releases 2. Open ATLauncher 3. Go to the Instances tab 4. Click Import 5. Select the downloaded .mrpack file 6. Click OK to install

MultiMC

1. Download the .mrpack file from GitHub Releases 2. Open MultiMC 3. Click Add Instance 4. Select Import from zip 5. Browse to the downloaded .mrpack file 6. Click OK to install

CurseForge

1. Download the -curseforge.zip file from GitHub Releases
2. Open CurseForge launcher
3. Go to Minecraft
4. Click Create Custom Profile
5. Click Import at the top
6. Select the downloaded zip file
7. Wait for installation to complete

Caution

Use the -curseforge.zip file, not the .mrpack file!

Memory Allocation

For the best experience, allocate the right amount of RAM:

Usage	Recommended RAM
Without shaders	4-6 GB
With shaders	6-8 GB
With shaders + high render distance	8-10 GB

How to Change RAM in Prism Launcher

1. Right-click your instance → Edit 2. Go to Settings → Java 3. Check Memory 4. Set Maximum memory allocation to your desired amount
2. Click Close

Caution

Don’t allocate more than 50% of your total system RAM, and leave at least 4GB for your OS and other applications.

Java Requirements

Lumo Optimized requires Java 21 or higher. Most launchers will handle this automatically, but if you need to install Java manually:

• Adoptium Temurin 21 (Recommended)
• Oracle Java 21
• GraalVM 21 (For potential performance gains)
